Comm.care provides organisations with a single place to help manage their clients, whether they be elderly people, people with disabilities, and even extends to collaboration with other organisations involved in their care, as well as their families and friends. Comm.care holds all the information about clients, and makes it accessible and easier to manage than handling large amounts of paper and files. Comm.care also facilitates easy and direct reporting to the DSS Data Exchange.
Software for community care
Pnyx (pronounced ‘Pin-iks’) is an Australian software company established in 2012 by Juan Pereyra to create digital solutions tailored to the community services sector. Juan has decades of experience working on major IT projects across Argentina, Brazil and Australia. During his time on a significant project focused on community care, he became aware of the technology shortfall facing this rapidly changing sector. He saw people struggling with paperwork and manual processes, drawn away from what they do best; helping vulnerable people. He was inspired to develop technology based on social interaction to enhance multidisciplinary care management; and thus the Comm.care platform was born. Where does the name come from? The Pnyx is a hill in Greece where the people of ancient Athens would gather together; it was literally a platform, where people could stand and speak openly. Transparency, collaboration and community are at the heart of Pnyx’s approach to software.
Commitment to building communities
Pnyx is a social enterprise; we’re a business, but we operate for the benefit of the community. Our goal is for the Comm.care platform to deliver lasting social benefit— by fostering collaboration, creating strong networks between care providers, and helping organisations to transform the efficiency and effectiveness of their service delivery. Community services, aged care, disability support and NDIS providers need tools that empower them to implement best practices in person-centred care. Comm.care does that by making teamwork more social, as well as simplifying record-keeping and reporting. When organisations have an affordable way to cut through complexity, communicate and coordinate care—vulnerable people achieve better outcomes.
